Our charcoal is produced from renewable resources that grow in ever-increasing numbers in the grasslands of northern Namibia.
These resources are invasive species of acacia and sickle bush which encroach upon the valuable grasslands. The Namibian government is fighting a very large-scale battle against invasive species that ultimately accelerate the effects of drought upon the land by consuming precious water from the scarce rainfalls, which in turn are destroying grasslands for cattle and wild grazing animals.
By making clever use of these invasive species, cattle numbers increase, staving off hunger in an impoverished land. Converting these species into charcoal saves valuable trees like Camel Thorn and affords an income among the indigenous peoples of the land.
Not only is our charcoal of supreme quality due to its high-density wood species, but it is also competitively priced against local and European suppliers.
